Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) CEO K Krithivasan received a 4.6% increase in salary, earning ₹26.52 crore in FY25. The company gave average salary hikes of 4.5% to 7% to its employees. While the total workforce grew to 6,07,979, the hiring pace was still slow.

On the other hand, Infosys reported an 11.7% drop in profits and reduced employee bonuses. The IT giant expects only limited revenue growth in FY26.

TCS CEO K. Krithivasan’s overall salary package rose by 4.6% to ₹26.5 crore in FY25, as per the latest annual report published by the company on Wednesday.

Krithivasan, who took over as CEO and MD of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in 2023, received a total pay package of ₹26.5 crore in FY25, up from ₹25.45 crore the previous year. His earnings included a base salary of ₹1.40 crore, ₹2.13 crore in perks and benefits, and ₹23 crore in commission. According to company data, his pay was 329.8 times higher than the median employee salary.

In FY24, Krithivasan took home ₹25.2 crore. That same year, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh made ₹66 crore, while Wipro’s Thierry Delaporte received ₹166 crore — among the biggest salary packages in the IT sector.

Employee hikes

TCS gave an average yearly salary hike of 4.5% to 7% to its 6 lakh employees, with top performers getting double-digit raises. Including promotions and special bonuses, the overall pay increase was between 5.5% and 7.5%, the company shared. For employees outside India, salary hikes ranged from 1.5% to 6%, based on local standards.

Earlier this month, TCS gave full 100% quarterly variable payouts to 70% of its staff, while the remaining employees received lower variable pay based on how their business units performed.

Tata Consultancy Services posted a net profit of ₹12,224 crore in the last quarter of FY25, which was below expectations, as global tariff tensions continued to create uncertainty.

On May 15, ET reported that Infosys issued performance bonus letters to eligible staff for the January–March quarter (Q4 FY2024-25). According to employees, most of them received bonuses that were much lower compared to the previous cycle.

In April, Infosys reported a 11.7% drop in net profit year-over-year, totaling ₹7,033 crore. The company also projected revenue growth for 2025-26 to be in the low single-digit percentage range.

Headcount

After a net decline in FY24, the company saw its headcount expand in FY25 to 607,979. However, hiring stayed in the slow lane, with only 6,433 people added on a net basis.
